PROTOTYPING
Electronics and mechanics samples for RF development
In-house CNC, 3D printing and electronic prototyping combines the development data with a testable structure and prepares the transition to mass production.
Connect development data and real structures
During prototype construction, we check whether the electrical design can be implemented under the intended mechanical conditions. The circuit board, antenna, housing and connections must fit together. We build functional and integration models, put the electronics into operation and compare their properties with the development goals. Findings from assembly and measurement flow into the next version.
Mechanical prototypes with CNC machining and 3D printing
Using our own CNC machining, we produce mechanical parts and customer-specific RF housings for development setups. 3D printing supports rapid inspection of housing shapes, installation spaces and internal components. This allows fastening, connection position and accessibility to be assessed on the real sample. We coordinate mechanical changes with the RF design because distances, conductive surfaces and housing materials influence the antenna. The selection of the process depends on the material, geometry and the function of the prototype.
- Housings, brackets and mechanical integration parts
- Checking fit, assembly sequence and connection positions
- Comparison of installation geometry and antenna function

Assembling, commissioning and changing electronics
For electronic prototypes, we use reflow soldering and precise manual SMD and through-hole soldering. We assemble boards, check power supplies and connections, and bring up the RF signal path step by step. We can modify matching networks and selected components directly on the prototype. This lets us determine whether changes to matching, filtering or grounding have the intended effect. We document the assembly revision together with the measurement results so that optimized component values can be incorporated into the development documents.
- Reflow assembly and manual soldering work
- Commissioning of antenna and RF modules
- Targeted component changes and measurement comparison

Targeted involvement of specialized manufacturing partners
We work with specialized partners for circuit board production, laser cutting and sheet metal processing. We provide the required development data and coordinate technical interfaces, materials and manufacturing requirements. We combine the purchased parts with our own sample work. Already in the prototype, we evaluate whether geometries, component access and assembly fit the intended production. This means that changes to the design and documents can be taken into account before the next construction.
- PCBs with coordinated layer structure
- Laser and sheet metal parts according to technical documents
- Coordination of interfaces between electronics and mechanics

From tried-and-tested samples to mass production
A functioning sample forms the basis for production preparation. We transfer the coordinated development status into parts lists, drawings, assembly and production data. We work with you to determine relevant electrical and mechanical test characteristics. The testing concept takes into account contacting, referencing and the evaluation of the manufactured assembly. If the scope is agreed, we accompany or take over mass production with suitable partners and coordinate incoming goods and final inspection with the product.
- Design for Manufacturing and documented release status
- Product-related test characteristics and test documents
- Production support and incorporation of technical changes

Your result
You will receive a testable sample and the agreed documents for the next development step. If desired, we can accompany the transfer to reproducible mass production.
