Technical illustration: RF filter development

CUSTOM DEVELOPMENT

RF filter development: selectivity with controlled losses.

We develop RF filters for transmit, receive and measurement paths. Passbands, stopbands and insertion loss are coordinated with impedance, available space and the interference environment.

01 / TECHNOLOGY & DEVELOPMENT

Topology and frequency plan

We design filters for the required function. Protecting a sensitive receiver from a nearby transmitter calls for different priorities than suppressing harmonics in a transmit path.

02 / TECHNOLOGY & DEVELOPMENT

Circuit design and electromagnetic layout

The ideal circuit is the starting point. Pads, transmission lines, vias, component models and connectors affect the actual filter response and must be included in the optimisation.

03 / TECHNOLOGY & DEVELOPMENT

Measuring and tuning the filter response

We manufacture and measure prototypes and compare the model with the measurement data. Passband and stopband performance are approved against specific frequency points and limits.

THREE ROUTES TO THE RIGHT SOLUTION

Develop a new design. Optimise an existing solution. Customise products.

01

New development

We develop the geometry, circuit and integration around your frequency bands, installation conditions and measurable performance targets.

02

Optimisation

We analyse existing samples and documentation, identify the causes of losses or insufficient performance, and implement targeted changes.

03

Product customisation

We assess an existing Sevskiy solution and adapt its frequency tuning, connectors or installation. We can undertake volume production on request.

OUR APPROACH

From requirements to a tested design.

  1. 01

    Requirements and interfaces

We clarify the frequency plan, available space, mechanical environment, supply, connections and test criteria. Existing CAD data, schematics and measurements are included in the assessment.

  2. 02

    Design and simulation

We compare suitable concepts, design the circuit or geometry, and simulate critical electromagnetic structures and transitions.

  3. 03

    Prototypes and measurement-based refinement

We build prototypes, measure under defined conditions and refine the design by comparing the model with the actual assembly.

  4. 04

    Design approval and volume production

We document the agreed configuration and test plan. Production support and volume manufacturing are agreed as required.

YOUR DELIVERABLES

Technically documented and ready for the next development step.

You receive the filter design, including the layout or mechanical implementation, interfaces and agreed measurement data. We also assess customisation of an existing Sevskiy filter and can undertake volume production on request.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Technical questions about working with us.

What specifications do you need for a filter?

Passband, stopband frequencies and required attenuation, maximum insertion loss, port impedance, signal levels, available space and connectors.

Can a standard filter be adapted to other frequencies?

We assess topology, materials and dimensions. Resonators or component values may be adjustable; simulation and prototype testing determine the scope.

YOUR RF REQUIREMENTS

Your filter: matched to wanted signals and interference.

Tell us your passbands and stopbands, permitted insertion loss, signal levels and available space. We use these requirements to develop a suitable filter concept.
