The antenna as part of the complete system
An antenna interacts with its surroundings: ground planes, the battery, cables and adjacent components change input impedance, radiation pattern and efficiency. We account for these effects from the start and tune the antenna in the actual product.
- PCB and FPC antennas, wire, dipole, monopole, patch, helical and slot structures.
- Multiband, diversity and MIMO antennas, as well as broadband, Vivaldi and log-periodic antennas.
- Active antennas, arrays and feed networks with linear, dual or circular polarisation.
02 / TECHNOLOGY & DEVELOPMENT
Design, integration and the RF signal path
We combine electromagnetic antenna design with frontend matching. The measurement reference plane and the positions of the matching network, filter, LNA and coaxial connection are defined together.
- 3D full-wave simulation with HFSS and CST; parameter studies of geometry, materials and position.
- Impedance matching, matching networks and 50 Ω transmission lines on the PCB.
- Coax-to-PCB transitions, connector launches, ground connections, isolation and decoupling.

Measurable performance beyond S11 alone
Good matching is only part of antenna performance. We evaluate radiated or received power, its spatial distribution and coupling to other antennas.
- Input impedance, S11, return loss, VSWR and usable bandwidth.
- Radiation efficiency, realised gain, radiation pattern and polarisation.
- Mutual coupling and isolation between multiple RF paths; comparison of integration variants.

We clarify the frequency plan, available space, mechanical environment, supply, connections and test criteria. Existing CAD data, schematics and measurements are included in the assessment.

Design and simulation
We compare suitable concepts, design the circuit or geometry, and simulate critical electromagnetic structures and transitions.

Prototypes and measurement-based refinement
We build prototypes, measure under defined conditions and refine the design by comparing the model with the actual assembly.

Design approval and volume production
We document the agreed configuration and test plan. Production support and volume manufacturing are agreed as required.

Yes. We first investigate the antenna, installation environment, matching and RF path losses. Depending on the findings, we optimise the existing solution, customise a production product or develop a new antenna.
